I wanted to take a moment to write this thread and explain a problem that I've been noticing recently.

First of all, I want to say that I really appreciate your interest in joining our family. Personally there's no other group of people that I'd rather play with than the group that we have here and there have been many friendships made here that will extend far beyond the game itself.

This is where you guys come in.

As I read all the new applications I can't help but to get excited over the potential.

As you may (or many not know) once you get invited into the Revenant you are considered a recruit for two weeks. After your two week "getting to know you" period is over we hold a vote and our current members decide whether or not you fit in well. Don't let this worry you, it really doesn't have anything to do with your toon's build, if you want to raid or not or even if your Canadian. Basically what we look for is if you're a kind respectful person and if you're a fun person to play and chat with or not. Pretty much that's it.

So where's the problem?

Well the problem arises when we get an applicant who takes the time to fill out the application and gets invited in as a recruit and then just kind of vanishes. When this happens and the recruit's vote comes up we really have nothing to base a vote on because you didn't give us a chance to get to know you. Usually this leads to a vote that is inconclusive and what ends up happening is that the applicant's recruit status is extended for another two week before we hold another vote.

What's we'd PREFER happen is for the applicant to be as sociable as possible during your recruit period. This doesn't mean that you have to play every day (we know that real life comes first) but when you can play try to take the time to get to meet some of us. If you don't have the time to run an instance or two or do some quests with someone at least jump into our Ventrilo server and say hello.
